Here are some new pillows I made for my friend Erica for her apartment. I got all this fabric at Joanne Fabrics. the green one has piping, which I have never worked with before and getting it to have the zipper and the piping was difficult. In the future if i do piping I won't do a zipper because it's too hard, and to be honest I still don't know how to do it correctly. I really like the colors of these two though and I am going to make some more for the etsy site.

I have an etsy site!!

yay I finally did it, I have enough pillows to start selling so I started an etsy site, I am testing it out, my prices may be high ($25.00 for the pillow case only), but if I can get it than hey, why not! If I were to ever try to make an actual living off it, I'd have to charge this much, so lets see if the fish bite! Let the grand experiment begin! I'm so excited, if you can't tell by all the exclamation points :)

So here is a link

Notari Twig Pillow

This fabric I also got from reprodepot it's called "Notari Twig" and comes in this sky blue color. I was debating whether or not to do the cream solid back color. The problem was that I was having trouble finding the right color of cream, believe it or not there is a big difference in this cream color compared to all the white I was finding at the fabric store. It took a second trip to the fabric store for me to find this color and I am very happy with it, and I'm glad I decided to do it, I'm becoming a stickler for the dual tone pillows, also it makes the expensive fabric go a longer distance :)

Taz and his bed

Tracy sent me this pic of her dog Taz enjoying the bed I made for him. I'm so glad he enjoys it!

starting to make pillows

Last night I bought some new fabric to make some hot pillows with. So far I've been making 18" square pillows with a zipper so that you can wash the case, I've also made some giant pillows for TV watching which are about 3.5 feet square. Just recently I made a pillow for my friend Tracy's Dog which was about 3 feet square with a zipper for washing. That one was the most rewarding because she said her dog went right to it, and always sleeps on it :) She sent me a picture of her dog Taz on it and it was so cute. Pictures to come soon of those, below are pics of the new fabric I bought, which I'm really excited about.
