DIY Shadowbox From an Old Soda Crate

Note this link has been moved to a new location:

DIY Shadowbox From and Old Soda Crate

Old Soda Crate End Table

So I've been obsessed with using inexpensive materials to make rustic things for the home. This first one was barely work at all. Just stack some soda crates and use them as an end table! The soda crates were an Etsy purchase from Picking History. I bought some on the low end ($10) and some on the high end ($15), the more expensive ones are usually better for the top crate since it'll have less imperfections.

Custom Kerli Doll

Recently I did this custom doll order for someone in Australia. I hadn't ever heard of this singer before, but she has such a cute style and would be so cute in doll-form I couldn't say no! See the pics below.

So much going on!

Hey everyone. I have been pretty MIA on the blog lately, but I haven't forgotten about it! I've been super busy with buying a new house (blog post to come later), working, crafting, working, oh and did I mention working! But I don't want to talk about work, so I thought I'd share some pictures I'm proud of. This is a singer from Canada named Jennifer Parkin AKA "Ayria" holding a doll that I made of her! The story with this was that one of my closest friends is a huge fan of her and I made a doll of her for him and she saw it and wanted one of her own! (who wouldn't) she's so sweet and even posted it on her facebook for all her fans to see! I sold another one to someone in Europe. Anyway I'm so excited that she finally got it and sent me these pictures, I had to share :)

My mom and Wednesday Adams in doll form!

I should have posted these a while ago, but alas life has been so busy! At Christmas time I decided to make my Mom and her husband Michael dolls of themselves. Some might think it's weird to get a doll of yourself for christmas, but they absolutely loved it, and I had the perfect pictures to go off of! ( a picture of them as pirate vampires and my mom with angel wings in a cemetary) They are so cute, and the dolls are too! Then my friend Tracy mentioned that she wanted a doll of Wednesday Adams, so I made that too. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the picture of the Michael doll, or Wednesday's doll (yes, the doll had a doll too) but here's my mom and Wednesday!

DIY cabinet doors

Hey everyone,

Today I decided I was sick of looking at the peg board doors on my shelf and decided to do a little DIY action on it. I was inspired by this post on Design Sponge, where someone updated some ikea dresser to look really retro. I liked the knobs he used and I figured the only way to update my apartment without putting a lot of money into it (and getting permission from my landlord) is to just work with the 60's/70's look. Like the Design Sponge post, I purchased the door knob pulls from Home Depot. The grass cloth wallpaper I purchased online, I had to buy a whole roll, so I will have to find some other projects to use the rest of it on.

Here are the pictures:
